Thank you to the parents who came along to the Suter and shared the wonderful time we had exploring the art work.
We had a great time with Esther, creating collages of the animals we would most like to be like. Watch out for these on display in class very soon.

Medieval Fair by the Upper Middle Syndicate
We were treated to a step back into medieval times when we were invited to a majestic display by the Upper Middles.
First we watched the students dancing as they would have done all those years ago. Sir Timothy (Mr Cross), Lady Pauline (Mrs Wallace) and Maid Evelyn (Mrs Muncaster) directed the proceedings very smoothly.
Then, we were treated to some puppet shows - what a talented bunch we have at St Joseph's.

Wind Power = Energy
Room 1 enjoyed the first fun day Friday for the term with a Discovery Time all about "Wind Power". We made kites, paper planes, wind chimes and experimented with straws and ping pong balls to see how fast we could go around a track.
Watch the fun we had with our kites outside on this beautiful, sunny day.

Room 1 support the St Joseph's School Gala
The holidays are a great chance to go through your unwanted toys, clothes and household goods and bring them along to school. Please support our Gala and bring in your unwanted items. You can bring them this week and during term time on Mondays between 2.30 and 3.30 pm, or on Fridays between 8.30 and 9.30 am, when the storage rooms will be open and "manned".
Check out the photos of the students in the Octopus' Garden taking up some items we have already collected.

Lucky Mrs Trengrove! Room 1 enjoyed a performance by the New Zealand Playhouse Theatre in the last week of term. Thank you to the PTA for covering the cost of this for the children.
